STEFANOS DIMITRIOU

Stefanos Dimitriou was born in 1968 in Athens. He studied at the University of Ioannina School of Philosophy, and he was granted a scholarship by the Greek Foundation of State Scholarships for his MA in Paris. He was awarded a Doctorate of Philosophy by Paris VIII for his treatise in Political Philosophy under the supervision of Jacques Poulain (1998) . He taught at the Patras University Department of Philosophy between 2000 and 2004. He also taught Political Philosophy at the Ioannina University School of Philosophy between March 2004 and December 2017 as an Assistant Professor. He is an Associate Professor of Political Philosophy at the Panteion University Department of Political Science and History, Social and Political Theory Faculty, since March 1st 2018. His research and teaching are focused on modern, contemporary, as well as ancient greek political philosophy.
