LEFTERIS ZAGORITIS

Lefteris Zagoritis is a Supreme Court lawyer, with extensive judicial experience and expertise in civil, commercial and criminal law.
He has been an elected member and Vice-President of the Athens Barrister Association and has served as president of its Disciplinary Board. He counts systematic participation in various committees of the Athens Barrister Association; additionally, he has acted as examiner in professional license examinations for trainee lawyers.
Mr Zagoritis served as Member of Parliament for the Athens B District between 2004 and 2009, and was elected Secretary General of the Nea Demokratia political party in 2006, a position he held until 2010.
As a Member of Parliament, Mr Zagoritis was a Member of the (a) Economic Affairs, (b) Public Administration, Public Order & Justice, and (c) Social Affairs Standing Committees of the Hellenic Parliament. He also served in the Subcommittee for Combating Narcotics as well as in various internal affairs committees of the Hellenic Parliament.
Lefteris Zagoritis was born on September 14, 1956 and originates from Zagori Epirus, in the northwest of Greece. He is married to Diana Larda, a notary, with whom he has two children.
He graduated from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens with a degree in Law and a first class degree in Political Science.
Mr Zagoritis is fluent in English.
