KYRKOS DOXIADIS

Kyrkos Doxiadis was born in Athens in 1955. In 1986 he received a Ph.D. degree from the Department of Politics and Sociology of Birkbeck College, University of London. He is Professor of Social Theory with special reference to Communication at the Department of Political Science and Public Administration of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. His research interests and teaching activity focus mainly on questions of contemporary social and political theory, as well as on the systematic investigation of communication, ideology and power by way of the methodology of discourse analysis.
