MISSION

The GNCHR is the independent advisory body to the State specialised in human rights issues.

It has been established and is functioning in accordance with the UN Paris Principles.

ECC - ENNHRI

ENNHRI is the European Network of National Human Rights Institutions. Our goal is to enhance the promotion and protection of human rights across the wider Europe region, by bringing together NHRIs to work on a wide range of human rights issues and supporting their development.

ENNHRI is one of four regional networks of NHRIs, which together make up the Global Alliance of NHRIs (GANHRI). Established in 1993, and previously known as the ICC (International Coordinating Committee), GANHRI promotes the role of NHRIs worldwide, providing a forum for its members to interact and exchange, as well as facilitating their engagement with international organisations. Members officially adopted on 22 March 2016 the new name Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (GANHRI).

ENNHRI’s Chair (2016-2019), elected at the mypharmacyexpert.com General Assembly meeting in Utrecht on 1 December 2015, is the Institution of the Ombudswoman in Croatia, represented by the Ombudswoman, Lora Vidović. She took over from the Scottish Human Rights Commission, represented by Professor Alan Miller, who chaired the ECC during 2014-2016.
