The GNCHR is the independent advisory body to the State specialised in human rights issues.

It has been established and is functioning in accordance with the UN Paris Principles.


The GNCHR employs three Legal/Research Officers:

Katerina Tsampi, PhD c. in Law (Université de Strasbourg), M2 “Droits de l’homme et droit humanitaire” (Université Panthéon-Assas, Paris II), Μ2 “Droit public specialisé” (Athens University and Université Montesquieu-Bordeaux IV), LLB (Athens University, Faculty of Law), Lawyer

Its Secretariat has two staff-members: Ms. Katerina Pantou and Mr. Nikos Kyriazopoulos (since July 2011)

In 2003 the GNCHR acquired its own premises in Athens (Neofytou Vamva, 6, 10674 Athens); it also maintains its own website (www.nchr.gr).
