MISSION

The GNCHR is the independent advisory body to the State specialised in human rights issues.

It has been established and is functioning in accordance with the UN Paris Principles.

STAFF

The GNCHR employs two Legal/Research Officers:

Anna Irene Baka, PhD in Public International Law and Legal Philosophy (The University of Hong Kong), LLM in International, Comparative and EU Law (Institute for European Studies, Free University of Brussels), MA in Public Law and European Integration (Panteion University of Athens), LLB (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens), Lawyer 

Roxani Fragou, Postdoctoral Fellowship in Human Rights (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki), PhD in Public Law (Université de Strasbourg), DEA en Droit public (Université Robert Schuman-Strasbourg III), LLB (Democritus University of Thrace), Lawyer

The GNCHR Secretariat is headed by Katerina PantouMA in Contemporary European Studies (Bath University, UK), Degree in Political Science and Public Administration (University of Athens)

In 2003 the GNCHR acquired its own premises in Athens (Neofytou Vamva, 6, 10674 Athens); it also maintains its own website (www.nchr.gr).
